ED OESE initiated the Arts in Education (AIE) project to increase student access to arts and integrate arts into the learning process. Safal provided technical assistance, community of practice activities, and web-based resources to three distinct discretionary grant program recipients: Assistance for Arts Education Development and Dissemination (AAEDD), Arts Education National Program (AENP), and Professional Development for Arts Educators (PDAE). The project supported the development of models integrating arts in core academic curricula, national-level arts education activities, and professional development for K-12 educators in high-poverty schools.
