TEA's Instructional Materials Review and Approval (IMRA) project, formerly known as Texas Resource Review (TRR), provides comprehensive quality evaluations of educational materials for Texas schools. Safal facilitates the use of TEA and State Board of Education (SBOE)- approved rubrics, recruits and trains Texas educator experts, and manages review teams to evaluate instructional products. The project produces quality reports, accessible through a web portal, to guide districts in selecting high-quality instructional materials. This project helps TEA meet legislative mandates and enhance transparency in the materials selection process.
