Expansion of Registered Apprenticeship Program through Industry Intermediaries
In September 2020, DOL Office of Apprenticeship selected Safal as a national Industry Intermediary to launch, promote, and expand Registered Apprenticeship (RA) in cybersecurity and related tech occupations nationwide. Through the DOL OA Industry Intermediary Contract (IIC 3.0) and our national RA program, Safal provides direct service delivery and technical assistance (TA) to employers, industry trade associations, educational partners, and workforce system stakeholders on sustainable RA program development and expansion including registering 1,000 new apprentices annually. Safal was included in the White House National Cybersecurity Workforce and Education Strategy (NCWES) for our work.
