The Greater Texas Foundation (GTF) developed an effective scholarship program for vulnerable youth in Texas. Safal developed a strategic plan to increase GTF's impact on educational outcomes for these students. In partnership with FSG Social Impact Advisors, Safal examined how scholarship programs could improve postsecondary persistence and completion. The project resulted in recommendations for an effective scholarship program and a co-authored research report, "Dollars for Degrees," on the role of aid in postsecondary completion.
