Safal partnered with Educate Texas to research the effectiveness of teacher training programs, focusing on pathways like the Traditional Preparation Program (TPPP), Alternative Certification Program (ACP), and Post-Baccalaureate Program (PBP) to support a more diverse and effective teacher workforce. Utilizing data from sources such as the Texas Education Agency’s Accountability System for Educator Preparation (ASEP) reports and the Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR), the research analyzed each phase of teacher preparation and certification. Findings were published in a teacher brief to support Texas in ensuring high-quality, data-driven insights to enhance teacher preparation and accountability.
