Katie Adams, Chief Delivery Officer, has more than 25 years experience scaling organizations and national projects driving systems innovation, with a focus on workforce and education. Katie oversees the company’s workforce practice which serves public sector clients including the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). She is a nationally recognized subject matter expert (SME) in workforce development and Registered Apprenticeship (RA), leading national DOL initiatives including the RA Technical Assistance Center of Excellence on Strategic Partnerships and System Alignment. 

Before joining Safal, she was founder and principal consultant for ASG, securing more than $40 million in federal contracts and grants and serving as SME for DOL and National Science Foundation Advanced Technological Education projects. Earlier in her career she helped lead a 10-year national consumer education campaign for the Bond Market Foundation and oversaw regional corporate communications for Fannie Mae.  

Katie enjoys building thriving professional and physical communities. She is co-chair of the US Department of Commerce NIST National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Apprenticeship Community of Interest, and co-founder of NicaWorks, a non-governmental organization focused on poverty alleviation in Nicaragua.  

Katie is a graduate of the College of William & Mary and resides outside of Washington, D.C. with her husband.
