Intermediary Technical Assistance (TA) Support Contract

Project Details

Agency Name: The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Office of Apprenticeship (OA)

Agency Type: Federal

Services: Technical Assistance, Strategic Communications

Client Goals

Registered Apprenticeship (RA) provides a proven pathway to 1) sustainable careers for workers seeking high-skilled and high-paying jobs, and to 2) employers seeking to train, promote, and retain a highly productive workforce.

This project supports OA Intermediary engagement as part of the DOL’s efforts to expand access to sustainable career pathways into RA programs. RA expansion includes partnerships and investments with intermediaries capable of engaging employers nationally in new and targeted industry sectors.

These 24 OA Intermediary Partners are focused on launching efforts that enable employers to start and sustain RAs; and increasing diversity to expand RA opportunities across industries for all workers.

As Intermediary TA Support, Safal is expected to:

  • Manage communication to, and between, OA Intermediary Partners
  • Develop strategies that inform OA efforts around expanding outreach practices that connect job seekers to the RA ecosystem
  • Increase employer, intermediary, and RA Sponsor capacity to implement Apprenticeship EEO regulations
  • Provide TA meant to address employment and training barriers to connecting under-represented populations to RA Opportunities
  • Collect and disseminate OA Intermediary Partner best practices
  • Coordinate meetings and events including webinars, in-person meetings, and other convenings
